Pharmacology and Toxicology
Pharmacology deals with the study of the action of the drug on the body. Pharmacology is the investigation of the associations that happens between the living life form and chemicals. Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are the two main pillars of pharmacology. Toxicology is the study of adverse effects of chemical substances on living things and their environment. Toxicology can also be termed as a tool for diagnosing and treating toxins. It is the branch of science based on nature. These adverse reactions may occur at various levels within the body such as an organ, a type of cell, or a specific biochemical. The basic toxicology principle is a dose response. Toxicology dose depends on the concentration and duration of the chemicals. Toxins are specific proteins produced by living organisms.
