Pediatric medicine is a specially designed medicine, especially for infants and children. The smaller body of an infant is physiologically different from that of an adult. Pediatric medicine is the combination of both emergency medicine and pediatrics. Congenital defects, developmental issues and genetic variance are of greater concern to all paediatricians who are all dealing with pediatric medicine. Paediatric Medicine deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents, from birth to age 18. Paediatricians diagnose and treat specific health issues, disorders and diseases related to the various stages of development.
